Tuesday, 07 September, 2010 - Photogenic

Show off your camera skills or come to learn a few. In PhotoGenic we will not only take great photos, but explore the world through a new pair of eyes and lenses. You will learn basic camera skills, a bit of manipulation, and work in Photoshop. We will also learn the art of capturing the moment, maybe even play around with fashion/artistic portrait photography. Be prepared to get a little dirty! We will create digital portfolios and theme-based projects.

Please join 'Sounds About Write' on Wednesday's from 3:30pm-6:00pm in YOUmedia's Hang Out Space to explore and write music.  We will spend time listening to and analyzing different genres of songs, film scores, and songwriting styles. During the second half of each session we will write and record  songs to submit for use in Youmedia's special projects including future airings on Vocalo 89.5FM: vocalo.org.

Cabrini Connections has a formal e-learning strategy. One part of this is the computer center that is open to all students and volunteers. Another component is a tech club, where students and volunteers meet to work on web design and computer skills. Students learn how to create their own web pages and how to use the Internet to communicate, do research, solve problems, and a variety of other technology related skills.
